PHARMACOVIGILANCE is the science that collects, monitors, investigates and evaluates information on the effects of drugs with the aim of identifying new information about adverse reactions and preventing harm to patients.

Any harmful and unintended reaction that occurs with the use of a drug at usual doses used in humans for prophylaxis, diagnosis, therapy or modification of a biological function.
