United Against COVID-19.

During the National Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARSAL Laboratories designed a series of protocols with the aim of preventing or avoiding the spread of the disease.

Based on the declaration made by the President of the Republic Nayib Bukele on March 11, 2020, and with the regulations of Executive Decree No. 22, a multidisciplinary team from the Administrative Board, Occupational Health and Comprehensive Safety prepared a total of 7 protocols that include significant actions to face the pandemic. These protocols aim to guarantee compliance with the guidelines established by the authorities, to reduce infections and complications from COVID-19, being implemented as of March 15, 2020.

The protocol for entering the facilities was modified, adapting a sink at the entrance to wash hands with soap and water, sanitize hands with alcohol gel, take temperature and general check-up in search of signs and symptoms related to the disease. , the procedure is in charge of the Business Clinic team with the support of Comprehensive Security from 5 am to 9 am. Said modification is also applicable for the entry of suppliers with hours from 7 am to 2 pm.

In addition, due to the suspension of the public transportation service, a transportation service was contracted with a total of 10 minibuses to guarantee the transfer of employees from their residence to ARSAL and vice versa, starting on May 7 and concluding at the end of May. month of October 2020, to benefit approximately 100 employees.

All protocols are focused on preserving the health of all employees and included the following aspects:

-Suspension of operations for the sales force: medical visit, promoters and sales representatives.

-To avoid greater risk of contagion, Home office was provided for some administrative positions.

-The use of the dress code applicable to Fridays was allowed, facilitating comfort in times of emergency.

– Preventive quarantine was indicated in susceptible personal and health conditions.

– Staggered working hours.

Each Co-worker has been responsible for complying with certain prevention measures, for example: increasing cleaning routines on surfaces in the work environment and high-touch objects for common use (telephones, switches, computer keyboards, desk surfaces, pens) and for greater security , the ARQCO company reinforced the daily cleaning and disinfection measures of the facilities.

In the dining area, the use of a wipes dispenser impregnated with a disinfectant solution was implemented so that each Co-worker can ensure that they take their food in a completely disinfected space, maximum use of 2 people per table, keeping the distance in common areas.

The staff was provided with masks for internal and external use, including all Co-workers.

There is no doubt that the pandemic is a challenge for the entire world, which is why in this space we congratulate each and every one of our Co-workers for adapting to the new measures established, remembering that prevention is the best medicine.
